Processing of
thermoformed splints
The HARD SPLINT KIT provides dental professionals with a perfectly
matched selection of instruments for the precise processing of thermoformed splints. From the initial trimming of excess foil to the final high-gloss polish, this set en sures efficient processing with outstanding surface quality.
The first step is handled by the carbide bur C515, which is ideal for the targeted removal of excess foil and precise trimming of the edges. The subsequent processing is performed with the carbide bur C251QX, featuring a special toothing design specifically developed for thermoplastic materials, enabling precise contouring of the splint.
The universal polisher 9607M facilitates the finishing of deep areas, such as interdental spaces, while the narrow non-woven fabric 1147MS effectively removes chips and ensures gentle edge rounding. Finally, the horsehair brush 1123 gives the splint a smooth, glossy surface – for maximum wearing comfort.
