A wide variety of instruments and applications require a high standard of product and service quality. We know that rotary instruments are the direct link between the dentist and the patient, or between the technician and the restoration. No one wants to leave this highly sensitive interface to chance.
Our goal is to offer our customers a complete range of rotary instruments and help them select and use them correctly.
Everyone offers products and prices, but few offer quality and expertise. We measure our commitment to perfection by your complete satisfaction. We invest all of our knowledge and expertise in this. We want you to benefit fully from JOTA SWITZERLAND's more than 100 years of experience, quality and reliability.

After 50 years of use, the buildings were no longer up to date in terms of technology, safety and functionality. Production, shipping and a partial renovation of the administration were completed. Energy efficiency, process efficiency and functionality were key design principles. Our aim is to fully meet the quality requirements of a company producing medical products.

Cleaning and sterilising medical devices after use on humans is time-consuming and subject to strict regulatory requirements. Low cost instruments are used once and then discarded. Such instruments must be delivered sterile. Final cleaning and packaging of such instruments requires a controlled and clean working environment in the form of a clean room.

Brazil is one of the largest markets for rotary instruments. Over 200,000 dentists provide a high standard of dental care. The regulatory requirements and the export of instruments to Brazil are complex. In order to efficiently meet the demand for instruments in Brazil, a subsidiary was established, which has developed very positively from the outset.

Our manufacturing capabilities provide an ideal platform for many companies to have instruments manufactured, which are subsequently sold by JOTA customers under their own brand. Instruments manufactured by JOTA are used in surgery, neurosurgery, orthodontics, ENT and podiatry. These instruments must meet particularly high requirements.

In addition to corporate communications, corporate design is a central element of corporate branding. It encompasses the visual and linguistic presentation of the JOTA brand and serves to visualise our identity and values both internally and externally. The high recognition value of the JOTA green is an important basis for successfully communicating the JOTA identity.

Ceramic grinding wheels consist of a steel shaft on which a sintered abrasive is mounted. The composition and manufacturing process of the backing determines the functionality and suitability for a wide range of materials. JOTA develops grinding tools perfectly suited to new materials. Durability, concentricity and efficiency are key elements.

Adherence to standards and guidelines ensures that errors and defects of all kinds are avoided at the outset, rather than at the end of the manufacturing process. The safety of patients and users and the functionality of the instruments must be guaranteed. JOTA's high internal quality standards have been the basis for seamlessly guaranteed certificates.

With its combination of diamond, carbide, steel and separating instruments, JOTA is one of the few manufacturers in the world to offer a complete range of rotary dental instruments. Since the turn of the millennium, JOTA AG has offered a convincing product portfolio that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of breadth and depth.

Made in Switzerland became synonymous with quality and JOTA's high quality dental instruments were appreciated and in demand worldwide. This led to new distributors and sales growth in many markets. At the beginning of the 80s, the health movement was in the air. Beautiful, well-cared for teeth became important and the demand for dental instruments increased.

There was a lack of space for production in Germany and a need for investment. After a short construction period for the production and administration buildings in Rüthi, the relocation and expansion of the grinding wheel production began in 1976. Growth led to additional production lines (1985), expansion of diamond coating capacity (1993) and automation of various manufacturing processes (1995).

In 1949, the factory in Düsseldorf was reunited after almost 5 years of rebuilding in temporary workplaces. The new building was designed with simplicity and functionality in mind. For the employees at the time, a job and the hope of a speedy rebuilding of Germany were of great importance.

During the war years of 1943-1945, the company's buildings were bombed three times by the Allies, who suspected metalworking companies of producing weapons for the Nazi regime. The third bombing was devastating. Nevertheless, in 1945 a few determined people began to rebuild the factory from the rubble.

JOTA survived the First World War without major damage or loss. The post-war years were marked by the great challenges of recession. Continuous quality improvements and production expansions earned JOTA a very good reputation in the industry during this period, and sales increased significantly after the years of recession.

JOTA is synonymous with precision. The phrase "No JOTA" refers to the Greek alphabet, in which the iota is the smallest letter. "No JOTA" was intended to exclude even the smallest concession or modification, and this was extremely important for the steel alloys used for dental drills at the time, in order to ensure the desired properties of the instruments.
